Thank you for this update. Can you or anyone else address the cost of this medication. I understand that are some programs to help pay the high cost of this medication based on income if you are at the poverty level or up to 500% above this level. So far I have been denied this level due to my income. How can any average person afford the huge retail cost of this and other medications.

Dear all, do intermediate metabolizers of the enzyme also need to switch to ticagrelor or prasugrel even when using cilostazol? This AHA document contains studies that mention cilostazol. This information was not clear to me. Grateful.

I'm only 25 pounds overweight, BMI of 29. I have HFpEF, diagnosed in 2022 and an ejection fraction of 70%. I also have neuropathy and advanced degenerative arthritis which make it hard to walk and exercise. I use a walker to get around, which is getting more difficult by the day. I have shortness of breath at rest and with exertion. Would I be a good candidate for SGLT2 inhibitors?

When you say High LDL Cholesterol "or" Familial Hypercholesterolemia do you mean that these are the same thing? Or do you mean that one can have FH and, taking no medications, have LDL of 125 or 130 at age 45-50, OR would LDLs at that age need to be 170 or so to diagnose FH?
